A huge thank to everyone who contributed to the Men’s Club Plant Sale & Café on May 4. A total of $1,235 was raised. The proceeds will be used to fund the operation of the church and help with purchasing any equipment that is needed.
A special thank you to the Qualicum Beach nurseries and business that donated plants for the sale: Ken-Dor, Arrowsmith, The Shrubbers, Outrageous Edibles & Bedibles, Dolly’s Hardware and Quality Foods. Also thanks to those parishioners who brought in contributions from the gardens. Business was very brisk during the first hour and by the end of the morning there was very little left unsold. The muffins and scones baked by parishioners were also well received by customers who took a moment to enjoy a coffee while shopping. Special thanks to Terry & Jennifer Roberts, Ryan Geboers, Bill Purdy and Simon Burn for helping during the sale.
