Christ is risen!
In the early first century of the Common Era, the Church came into being from the the combined experiences of Jesus’ followers of the resurrection, the continuing experience of his presence, and the outpouring of the Spirit. The Church does not simply commemorate an event, it lives from a reality. The resurrection is not just the reason the Church began—it is the reason the Church continues to exist at all. Remember, he is not here—he goes before you into the world.
