Marianne's first experience on Vancouver Island was in 1969 just after the lunar landing with her family, all the way from Calgary. From that day she knew she would live on the island. After a few decades in Vancouver, she moved to Qualicum Beach to look after her ailing mother in 2018.
She has worked with seniors in many different capacities including heading a customer service team for an Global Touring company ( Scenic and Emerald),and more recently hosted the "Seniors Connecting Program" for the S.O. S ( Society of Organized Services) until the program was cancelled. Weekly events were held in Parksville and Qualicum Beach.
Marianne wanted to contribute to support the seniors community, so was delighted to come on board as St Marks Parish Administrator. Marianne enjoys being involved in community events and volunteers for different organizations.
