Born in Vancouver, Pippa Williams began playing piano and oboe at the age of 13. She pursued her formal training at the University of Toronto, Western Washington University and the Royal Conservatory of Music studying both piano and oboe.
Pippa held the position of Principal Oboe for the Vancouver Island Symphony for more than twenty years. Her conducting experiences include the Cowichan Consort Orchestra and Choir, Strathcona Symphony, the Nanaimo Concert Band and the Nanaimo Youth Orchestra. Pippa continues to teach piano and oboe on Vancouver Island and the mainland while freelancing for all the regional orchestras in British Columbia. She is the piano accompanist for the Yellow Point Singers, Harbour City Singers, Vancouver Island University choir and the B C Teen Choir.
She has a busy private studio teaching piano and oboe and is active as a clinician and adjudicator in BC.
