Our second Messy Church gathering focused on the story of Joseph and his special coat. Over 50 people arrived (17 kids brought their adults) and immediately started on crafts of all kinds. The older kids were weaving belts and the younger ones were making dream coats of their own, and practicing their weaving as well. Our buddy, Cedar, was exhausted by all the attention (see picture).

Everyone moved into the church where a very fun story of Joseph, as told by Rev. Elizabeth, had the children running around the church searching for characters. A fun song about Joseph by Dave Klinger had everyone on their feet dancing up a storm. Then communion and singing of the Lord's prayer as everyone gathered at the alter.

After that it was time for dinner which was waiting for us all in the hall. Many, many thanks to all those who made today possible. The children, in particular, and the adults they brought along... the kitchen crew, the craft crew and the clean up crew. It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. See you next month on Saturday, March 23rd at 4pm.
