As Elizabeth mentioned during last week’s sermon, we have kicked off a campaign to raise funds for relief work that the Primate’s Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF) is supporting in Ukraine. Please see attached pamphlet for you to print and give to your friends and family.

Your contribution is vital to the needs of Ukrainians! The funds are directed to building and maintaining refugee centres inside and outside Ukraine; giving assistance to those who need food, shelter and medical help in war torn Ukraine and in bordering countries; and helping to support elders, children and disabled people as they deal with surviving in areas of combat or travelling to find safety. PWRDF is working with two international organizations and four local Ukrainian organizations to accomplish this work.

Please make your cheque out to PWRDF, with Ukraine specified in the memo line. They can be put in the collection plate or handed in to the church office. You will receive a receipt from PWRDF. For those who want to donate online, you can send your donations to: bit.ly/StMarksPWRDF.  Just open Google and enter this address. Using this online address will help PWRDF identify the funds coming from St. Mark, and we can get a sense of how much we have been able to raise.

Just as important, however, is to reach out by mobilizing your friends and family, and their contacts, to come to the Day of Giving on Saturday, October 8, at St. Mark Church Hall, 10a.m. to noon, with their donations.

Coffee and cookies will be provided.

Let's join together in a community campaign--reaching out together!
